This is the concluding part of the Illiath trilogy. As with the earlier songs, it is based on unused material from the previous song. However, unlike the previous songs where I was on a roll, it was a lot more painful to bring together, not least because I wanted to finish the album on a high note and Part 2 was a tough act to follow. In some ways it suffers from the "sausage sandwich" effect in that lots of unrelated material was brought together to try and finish it resulting in a lot of style switches throughout the song. I think it turned out nicely, though. I'm rather pleased with the vocal harmonies.
lyrics
Illiath Part III – The Capture
Illie woke on a dungeon floor
With her hidden wings revealed
To live in peace among the normal folk
You have to keep them well concealed
Illie knew from experience
That she must escape her cell
All that she’d get would be a chopping block
And a one-way trip to Hell
Keep going, keep going,
Keep going, don’t stop now
Keep going, keep going,
Keep going, don’t stop now
The lock was all rods and springs
She jimmied it with her wings
There wasn’t a soul around
She crept out without a sound
Moving swift from room to room
She vanished deep into the gloom
It must be her lucky day
Keep going, keep going,
Keep going, don’t stop now
Keep going, keep going,
Keep going, don’t stop now
She knocked out the guards she met
They weren’t going to catch her yet
The wall had a handy map
Or was it another trap?
Making up the time she’d lost
She went to find the Big Bad Boss
She’s going to make him pay
Keep going, keep going,
Keep going, don’t stop now
Keep going, keep going,
Keep going, don’t stop now
Which way to the Big Bad Boss?
Which way...
On a throne
His features shone like lava
Illie stared,
The monster was her father
All along
“Illiath my child, come and take my hand...
We will overthrow the rulers of this land...
We’ll make it safe for people born with wings!”

Un pur bonheur de prog rock, avec des claviers de ouf comme disent les djeuns ! De superbes mélodies... Un groupe que je ne connaissais pas encore ! Olivier SEGAS

With its debut album, this young band from Vienna follows the footsteps of honorable Austrian prog masters like "Matter Of Taste". The music on this concept album is not of the kind I'd call particularly innovative - it travels pretty much on well known roads paved by many others long ago. However, these youngsters do it in a highly pleasant way, skillfully avoiding the pitfalls of pseudo-progressive phrase rehashing most of the time - certainly more successfully so than several of their experienced grand paragons of prog. Siguiendo la evolución de Michael Whiteman , encontramos temas con desarrollos más largos introduciendo piano , xilófono y flauta . Buscando un estilo más propio digamos . Igor Huertas
